Default What Army Do You Want In 40K Online?

The title pretty much speaks for itself. Which Army would you like to see in Warhammer 40k Online?

I would sure as hell hope Tyranids are in it.. Next to Space Marines Tyranid are an essential part of the warhammer 40k universe.

Sisters of battle just irritate me. "oh we get super powers because we have faith in a floating corpse in a chair"

Space Marines are much better. Even though I hate Space Marines as well, Chaos and Nids ftw.

Probably wont see wraithlords, or any of the other special units. Of course they could always institute some sort of hero classes maybe or, and I better be wrong, they decide to screw lore and change classes to fit their game.

Imperial Guard.

Sure, we're weak.

Sure, we're pansies compared to Space Marines, Necrons, and the Horrors of the Warp.

Sure, we have a commissar at our back to make sure that we don't run away like sissies before the might of the WAAAGGGHHH, or the Great Devourer, or go over to the other side in the name of the Greater Good.

But there are hundreds of billions of us. And for each one that falls, ten more will take his place. And we have really big frikkin guns.

Remember folks, when it absolutely, positively has to be blown sky high RIGHT NOW, and you don't have a Warlord Titan, nothing beats a barrage from Imperial Guard artillery (except an orbiting Navy battleship).

While I agree that a brigade or company of IG's is a deadly force, my only concern is how well they would play out in an individual/small group basis. Then again orks are the same way and dont fight too effectively without a mass of troops. I am guessing for sake of gameplay you are going to weaken or strengthen units to be on a more level playing field. I just hope they can do it without making certain units too weak or too strong compared to their tabletop counterpart's.

Count me as greedy. While some of the potential options I favor much more than orders (Necrons for example) I see no reason why the majority of the potential options cannot be made playable and implemented as such.

While in Warhammer Fantasy I much prefer Chaos, in 40K my soul is bound into the living metal carapace of the Necrons... and the Tyranids are a close 2nd.

Apparently I'm the first and only person to vote for Dark Eldar so far...

I have almost no hope what-so-ever of them being including as a playable race in the MMO. If only because they have become somewhat obscure and unpopular. The only way I see them being added is if they add ALL the races, which considering the development cost probably won't happen.

I didnt care for the Eldar so I never even bothered checking out the Dark Eldar. For game sake though, I hope they are included as they are a part of the 40k Universe even if its as NPC's. While you might not be able to play them, you might be able to experience their awesomeness as you fight against them.

It may not be in the game but I chose every race. More than likely they will have a few races at first then release more with expansions.

Or if I had it my way:

Based on faction:

3 factions: Good/Evil

Imperial Guard/Chaos Daemons
Space marine/Chaos Space Marines
Eldar/Dark Eldar
Tau/Orks

Neutrals Tryanids/Necrons

The two major factions starting areas would have the paired factions. As you lvl/Tier up you can complete missions to gain faction with other races of your side. Or you can go it alone and only fight with your race. This gives people options to play with friends and family that don't want to play the race you are.

The Neutrals are on their own but would recieve better troops and equipment to make up for the lack of allies.

With Warhammer 40k lore races that are considered good do tend to use other races to benefit their cause. So once you have enough faction would be able to fight beside another race to accomplish a goal (PvE, PvP).

"An enemy of my enemy is my friend" call it a truce.
