Default Do you think Vigil GAmes can pull this off?

Even if they are a division of THQ, Vigil Games is a very new company which has very little or no experience in making of MMO games. So do you think will they able to make a successful MMORPG ?

With THQ behind them, I definately think they can do it. Looking at Vigils other game, Dark Siders, they definately have some very talented individuals on their team. As long as THQ is willing to keep funding it, the 40k mmo will be spectacular.

I think it is entirely possible for them to "pull it off". There are a lot of talented people in the industry that could be drafted for a project such as this. Hopefully more information will be forthcoming sooner than later in the coming new year so we will know for sure.

Company name tends to be a relatively arbitrary concept inthe gaming industry. Hiring and rehiring of experienced developers is common, and we'd need to look at that and the intentions of the designers to truly answer the question, rather than the irrelevant umbrella of the company they've been gathered beneath.

In other words, I'm hopeful

I do believe they can do it. Alot of the crew at Vigil are gaming dev vets. So this isn't their first rodeo. They have guys and gals from EQ, EQ2, UO, and AO just to name a few.

With THQ still feeding them funding, it looks promising.

Well I really hope they can pull this off. I mean even if they can't at least they can make some sort of starting platform for some other company to take it from there and really get into it.

They can make the game, sure, but making it good... That's another matter entierly, and it depends on everyones tastes in game, i guess they can make a decent game. Wouldn't hope for too much though.
